The Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: The City tour & Volcanoes Safari
After the breakfast, our driver guide will be present to take you on the 2-days safari in Rwanda. Start your trip from the hotel to Kigali city to explore iconic attractions including the historical centres like the Kigali memorial site. Visit the Kimironko market where you can find a range of freshly harvested products and craft shops. Proceed up to the nearby restaurant to have a lunch break & continue on a trip to Volcanoes National Park Rwanda (Ruhengeri) 2-3 hours’ drive.
Volcanoes sits on 160 sq. km of area and its establishment dates back to 1925 making it one of the oldest parks. The gorilla groups of interest on Rwanda gorilla safaris include Sabyinyo, Susa A, Hirwa, Karisimbi (Susa B), Group 13, Ugenda, Bwenge, and more.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking with Rwandan guide; transfer back to Kigali
Get yourself a hearty breakfast and transfer to the briefing center to get insight into mountain gorilla trekking. After you have got the family of gorillas to track plus the ranger guide, expect to begin the adventure around 8:00 am. Enjoy about 2-6 hours while moving inside the natural forest to locate gorilla families. The overall gorilla adventure rewards trekkers with 1 hour to stay with gorillas.
